            Why does everybody study English?

            What makes it a global language?

            English is the language that facilitates communication in thousands of individual contacts made daily all over the world. It is used in air, land and sea communication, in information technology, sports, TV, movies, science, politics, music … English is necessary to surf and chat on the Internet, to e-mail people around the world, to read international books, magazines, announcements, ads, song lyrics, instructions, manuals, scientific journals, etc. The following graph shows the use of English all over the world.

Learn another language

Acho esse vídeo bem interessante aos meus alunos do 1º do Ensino Médio, para despertar neles a importância de aprender uma outra língua. É uma foma divertida de iniciar o ano letivo com uma disciplina que não é a favorita dos alunos.

Assisti esse vídeo há muitos anos atrás, achei lindo e bem produtivo. Esse ano resolvi começar a minha aula nos 3º anos com esse vídeo. Acho que é bem interessante e propício para esse público, que vive o drama de ter que fazer a ESCOLHA certa ao final do ano.

2014

Todos os anos faço planos para o novo ano que se inicia ... alguns eu consigo cumprir, mas outros ... deixo para o ano seguinte. rsrs

Esse ano não foi diferente. Já fiz a minha listinha de objetivos para 2014  (alguns bem particulares) mas um deles é cuidar com mais carinho do meu blog que está meio abandonado ... tadinho!! 

Quando criei esse blog, meu principal objetivo era ajudar aos meus colegas professores, principalmente de inglês que as vezes é muito difícil conseguir material, porém o blog tem muito material de outras disciplinas (arte, língua portuguesa) e textos para pessoas que não estão ligados a educação. 

Esse ano quero transformar o blog em uma ferramenta didática que auxilie os meus alunos. O meu objetivo, então é postar todos os dias(se possível) tudo que foi dado em sala de aula naquele dia, assim, caso o aluno tenha faltado aula ele não terá desculpas para não ter o conteúdo perdido. Sei que encontrarei algumas dificuldades, pois tenho alunos que não têm acesso fácil a internet, mas ... vou tentar. 

Turma da Mônica

      The Brazilian cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa is the creator of over 200 characters for his popular series of children's comic books. Many of his characters are based on his ten children.

     Monica is the most popular children's comic character. She is the leader of a gang of six-year-olds. She always wears a red dress. She has two large front teeth that are very strong.
    Cebolinha always wears a green shirt, black shorts and shoes. his hair is shaped like an onion, with only five sstands of hair. He is Cascão's best friend.
     Cascão is maybe the happiest and certainly the smartest child in the gang. He creates his own toys using recycled material. He always wears yellow and red. He is absolutely afraid of water; that's why he usually carries an umbrella.
